Booksellers' description Account book collection, Thomas Benham, M.D., John Benham, M.D., and others. (Broome, Conesville, and Windham, NY; 1796-1863, and later) Comprises approximately twenty single thick wrappered account books (some bound with multiple gatherings) and several hundred items of miscellaneous paper ephemera, primarily 1840s-1870s, of related interest. Apparently representing three generations of doctors in one family, serving a very rural area of New York State, some 35 miles southwest of Albany.

E. A. Santee ledgers

Scope and Contents The collection contains three ledgers from the medical practice of E. A. Santee in Luzerne County, Pa., at Hobbie, 1870-1877, with some account settlements to 1889, and Wapwallopen, 1886-1905, with some account settlements to 1911. The ledger entries list patient's name, date, and fee. Each volume contains an index to the ledger accounts.
